Judy Collins-Haynes

Natural processes drive my artwork which continuously explores connections and contradictions in the natural world. I experiment with the alchemy of rust and leaves, using naturally occurring and found objects in the environment in which I live. I walk, I observe, I collect leaves and rusty objects. I cultivate rust. I print papers and cloth. I soak, I layer, I steam, I boil. Through processes of pressure and heat, earthy prints emerge from the pot.
